This place is near where i grew up. I spent many hours as a kid, with camera and tripod in hand, exploring the wilds. I made a visit back recently and thought I should share, hope you enjoy.
Spent a few days out near Stanthorpe and Girraween National Park in QLD. Temps were well below zero at night, thankfully my gear worked perfectly, often my hands did not fair too well though! Star-trails did not work as i planned with the lens quickly fogging up, or the entire camera freezing over with ice.
Springbrook National Park – Gold Coast Hinterland. Above is a multi image composite (stitched panoramic) of this iconic waterfall in South East Queensland.
Cue Alarm 4.30am… out of bed by 4:40am… on location around 5:20am.
Had some success this morning shooting at Shorncliffe Pier. Morning turned out really well considering it was a dark cloud ridden morning with some added rain, i made the most of the gloomy conditions. Take a look below!
Looking forward to doing more of these! Very pleased with this first video production done for a friend recently. Kept it short and sweet using the best footage from the day. Would like to have some themes developed for these in the future. With this one we start after the big moment and go back in time, then catch back up at reception.
Hope you like what you see!

This was fun. Four photographers exploring a rail yard, rust all around you. Will have to do another group trip soon! A friend of mine spotted a tiny little cactus growing out of a carriage!
Well its not often it pours down rain at various times during the shoot. However I persevered and some great results were had. Another fun shoot for C3 Church Young Adults. Not much rain in these photos, the rain was filmed towards the end of the shoot and used for an event video.
This shoot was really fun! This was for C3 Church Young Adults department, taken in early January 2010. Photography was for flyer and marketing materials throughout the year. Knocked out the colour from the grass to emphasize people in these as it had just rained and the grass was trying to be the hero… look at me, I’m green!
Hope you Enjoy these.
